"They have mouths but cannot speak, and eyes but cannot see." Psalms 135:16 (NIV)

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I would marry you.' One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her, 'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left broken-hearted and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear; for before they were yours, they were mine.' This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

3. Watch Your Mouth – It has nothing to do with how you feel.
4. Watch Your Mouth – Start speaking Life & Victory over your situation.

NJBC Pastor's Thought for Today: "The Bread of Life"

When Christ died on the cross, He took the sins of mankind upon Himself and made atonement for them. When we place our faith in Him, our sins are imputed to Jesus, and His righteousness is imputed to us. Jesus satisfies our hunger and thirst for righteousness. He is our Bread of Life.

NJBC Pastor’s thought for Today: “Just Tie a Knot in Your Faith & Keep Holding On”
I know that in times like these, it can be difficult to hold on to your faith. I also realize that it can be difficult for even the most faithful believer to stand still and wait on the Lord. Life is not easy to navigate through and, trials and tribulations come at you fast. David reminds us in Psalm 121:1 (KJV) that help is on the way when we position our eyes in the right direction. “I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence cometh my help. In other words, “Just tie a knot in your faith and keep holding on.”

NJBC - From the Pastor's Pen: "Defeating Self"

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you now and forever more is my solemn prayer for you all today. Defeat the enemy by denying the comforts of self and win not only the battle, but the war. Many of us have been fighting battle after battle, but fail to recognize that when the war is over, the victory belongs to you and there are no more battles to fight. Somebody ought to shout Hallelujah!!!!!

NJMBC: A Relevant Word from the Pastor’s Pen

People often complain about the cross they bear but don't realize it is preparing them for the dip in the road that God can see and they can't. Whatever your cross, whatever your pain, there will always be sunshine, after the rain.

Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall; but God's is always ready, to answer your call. He knows every heartache, sees every tear, a word from His lips, can calm every fear.

Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night, but then suddenly vanish, at dawn's early light. The Savior is waiting, somewhere near, to give you His grace, and send you His love.

God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage. People often question: God – “why me?” We need to look at the big picture. God is going to shift things around for you today and let things work in your favor.

Unfortunately race is the main reason many people have chosen to vote for Romney. They are still trying to figure out how President Obama got into the White House in 2008. There is no doubt he is the most qualified and experienced candidate for the Office of the President. Please join me in praying for an end to prejudice and ignorance in this nation.

We have started studying the qualitative characteristics of God during our mid-week bible study at New Jerusalem Christian Church this week. It comes to my attention that many people only know God through mental ascent and have no spiritual knowledge or understanding of who he really is. I challenge those who have only known God through second and third hand experiences, to take the blinders off and try him for your self. God is revealed through the eyes of faith. His will is known through a heart of faith. His provisions are manifested by a walk of faith.

Leaders are not born, they are created by the struggles and
controversy that sets them apart from those who tolerate things the way they are and become complacent. Leaders see things the way they could be and lay it all on the line to facilitate change.

My question is simply this: Where are our Leaders now?

and taking of precious human lives that has become viral in this country. Human lives are precious and are a gift from God. Everytime someone pulls a trigger and takes a life, they are robbing God. "Vengeance is mine says the Lord, and whatsoever is just, I will repay." Romans 12:19
