Week one of after-school program is off to a great start! 📚🎮🎈 The kids are getting used to our routine and spending time each day focused on reading and finishing the books they’ve started. We’ve also added Minecraft as a new activity this year, and just for fun, we started learning how to make balloon animals! We started with dogs, and they’re already excited to learn more. It’s been great seeing how excited everyone is to be back in school.

Back to School Picnic Success! 🎒📚☀️

Our Back to School Picnic at Northport Apartments was a HUGE success! 💛 A special thank-you to all of the amazing volunteers who came out to help. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!

A big shout-out to Second Peace for providing delicious BBQ and all the awesome treats! 🍔🍧 The kids had a blast enjoying games, the bouncy house, and a special visit from the MPD Mounted Patrol! 🐴👮🏽‍♀️

This Back to School Picnic was proudly sponsored by Housing Ministries and Extended Hands Pantry. Together, we were able to provide nearly 150 backpacks filled with school supplies to our residents and friends! 🎒✏️

If your family wasn’t able to make it today, don’t worry! Come back next week to pick up your backpack and school supplies.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event so special. We’re getting our families ready to head BACK TO SCHOOL! ❤️📚🎒
