These eight young professionals were once participants in LCA’s Blueprint Accelerator Program. Today, they are back as mentors, bringing their experience, expertise, and time to support the next cohort of emerging leaders.

At Leading Change Africa, we believe leadership multiplies when it is shared. Their return as mentors is a powerful reminder that meaningful programmes do more than create opportunities—they create changemakers who come back to give back.

On Saturday, August 29, we welcome Bobola Odebiyi to our Inspiring Journeys Series.

A Nigerian immigrant who moved to the U.S. at 20, Bobola’s journey took him from driving taxis while pursuing his education to becoming a CPA, building a career at PwC, and ultimately becoming a founder.

He later launched CrossKudi, a stablecoin-powered payments company that processed more than $6 million across five corridors. Today, as Founder & CEO of Avanor Labs, he is building digital-dollar liquidity infrastructure designed to make global commerce more accessible, particularly for businesses and communities in emerging markets.

At Leading Change Africa, we share stories like Bobola’s to connect our communities across the continent with people building practical solutions and creating new possibilities.

The AI Challenge 2026 winners are here! 🎉

Leading Change Africa is proud to announce the results of the AI Challenge 2026 — a competition that brought together young innovators from Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, and Mali to develop practical AI solutions for real community challenges
🥇 1st Place: Team Yelen 🇧🇫 (Burkina Faso) — 1,000,000 FCFA
🥈 2nd Place: Team Nyeleni-Dev 🇲🇱 (Mali) — 500,000 FCFA
🥉 3rd Place: Team FasoLab 🇧🇫 (Burkina Faso) — 250,000 FCFA
This challenge was more than a competition. It was proof that young African minds are already building with technology in ways that matter to their communities.

Congratulations to every participant, mentor, and partner who made this edition possible. Leading Change Africa is proud to be part of this.

LCA's In-Person Leadership Program in Mali has graduated its first cohort.

75 young people were selected. 59 completed the full five-week programme and received certificates.

This was LCA's first in-person leadership programme in Mali, and the results reflect what becomes possible when young people are given structured, hands-on leadership development in their own communities.

We congratulate every graduate and thank the mentors, facilitators, and partners who made this cohort possible.
