At the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, students in Dr. Evan Larson’s Fire Ecology course spent four days at the University of Minnesota Cloquet Forestry Center learning about and participating in fire restoration efforts.

With the hopes of improving the forest ecosystem and ensuring safety with burn crews, students piled and burned woody fuels along a burn break. Learn more about their work below.
