In light of the unfolding COVID-19 pandemic, DanceSafe is launching an at-home harm reduction program called Party in Place. Party in Place seeks to (1) provide resources to meet the unique needs of electronic music and nightlife community members and (2) mobilize partygoers to contribute to slowing down the spread of COVID-19.

Party in Place initiatives and services focus on the topics of social distancing, mental and emotional health, and harm reduction for people who use drugs during this unprecedented time. A test knowledge we pulled on a friend today who asked for knowledge bombs to debate:
After last used, co***ne or its metabolites typically can show up on a blood or saliva test for up to 2 days, a urine test for up to 3 days, and a hair test for months to years.

There are times when I'm emotionally and physically exhausted, and I feel like the effort I put into DanceSafe isn't worth it. But when I think about how much DanceSafe has helped my kids, their friends, and my friends, it hits me that they could be dead or at least could have had some really tough moments that would have haunted them for the rest of their lives, and then I realize that I haven't put enough time or effort towards it to repay what I've benefitted. If it's true that you get out what you have put in, then it's worth every moment. And hopefully, if my kids are ever in a rough situation, someone will be there to help because I have been there for many other people's kids. DanceSafe isn't lucky to have me, I am lucky to have the opportunity to be involved in something that positively impacts so many people in situations where, most often, there would be no one to help. I am eternally grateful!
