🚜 Harvest Season is Here. Let’s Keep Our Roads Safe! 🚜
As combines, tractors, and grain trucks hit the roads this harvest season, it’s a critical time to raise awareness about farm equipment safety on rural highways.
At AgrAbility of Wisconsin, we’re reminding everyone, farmers and drivers alike, to stay alert and share the road with care:
🔸 Farmers: Make sure your equipment is well-lit, marked with SMV (slow-moving vehicle) signs, and visible at dawn and dusk.
🔸 Drivers: Slow down when approaching farm equipment. Be patient, passing safely saves lives.
🔸 Everyone: Avoid distractions and stay focused. A few extra seconds of caution can prevent serious accidents.
Let’s work together to protect our farming communities during this busy season. 💚

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🌱 Safety Across Generations
Farming is a legacy, but safety practices must evolve. Train younger workers thoroughly, review manuals together, and ensure everyone can demonstrate safe procedures.
The Wisconsin Youth Tractor Safety program helps youth ages 12–15 learn how to safely operate farm machinery. It’s a vital step in preparing the next generation of safe farm operators.
