Be extra careful when heating water for baths and sinks. Scald burns are the most common burn injuries seen in children. To help prevent scalds:

• Set your water heater to 120°F or below. • Start with cool water, then slowly add warm.
• Always test the water with your hand — if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for a child.

Wausaken Shriners club president Stephen Britton presents Lt. Mike Rebman of the Riverside Fire District in Rothschild WI with Shriners children’s burn prevention materials. The story books present burn prevention messages in an age appropriate manner for younger and older children and will help the district in their community education mission. Zor Shriners

Don't allow electrical cords to dangle where your child can reach and tug on them, possibly pulling a heavy appliance or hot foods down on themselves.

57 packs are in line waiting for Friday’s graduation. These are to be assigned to our new partner, the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Each bag contains an FST from Fire Suppression Solutions LLC, and an AED from Zoll. This would not be possible without the generosity of the Wisconsin Masonic Charities, Acts of Kindness program. ( Wisconsin Freemasonry ) Over the next year we hope to graduate over 500 packs; one for for every State Patrol vehicle.
