Madison County Foster & Adoptive Parent Association

Madison County Foster & Adoptive Parent Association MCFAPA exists to improve the quality of life for foster, adoptive, & kinship families here in Madison County.

We do this through advocacy, support, communication, & training opportunities. We want families to know that we are here for them. This page is a place primarily for foster, adoptive, & kinship parents of Madison County Alabama to gather together to share, grow and encourage each other. We also let you know about upcoming training events, family activities, & other special events!

Thankful for partners like Amelia and Lisowe’s Lights! We had a shipment of nightlights arrive today for The Den for kiddos entering foster care.

How did they know we were down to our very last one? 😁

Special delivery today from Foster House Project! 💙

Thanks to their ongoing support, were able to stock The Den with more duffle bags, PJs, and more!

If you'd like to help out as well, we always need duffle bags (we average 20-25 a month). Just reach out for more info. Thanks!

🎃✂️ 8 YEARS OF BROS, BOWS, & BOOS ✂️🎀

We honestly can’t believe we’re announcing the 8th Annual Bros, Bows, & Boos Fall Fest! 🧡

What started as a simple idea to love on children and families in our community has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined. Because of your support over the years, together we have:

✨ Served hundreds of children with FREE haircuts & haircare education
✨ Distributed tens of thousands of dollars in haircare products and resources
✨ Welcomed more than 2,300 attendees to this incredible community event
✨ Built a trusted event in the foster & kinship care community
✨ Raised nearly $100,000 to support children and families in need

Every haircut, every backpack, every hug, every volunteer, every sponsor, and every family that has walked through our doors has helped make this event what it is today.

Bros, Bows, & Boos has become more than a fall festival. It has become a celebration of community, dignity, support, and showing up for children and caregivers in a BIG way.

Year 8 is going to be special, and we cannot wait to celebrate with all of you again on Sunday, Oct. 25th, 2026 at Daystar Church! So Save The Date!

Sponsorships & Trunk Spots are open: https://mcfapa.life/bbb2026/

Thank you!

April donations are a wrap!

Because of you, Foster House Project received 56 donated items- including pajamas, duffle bags, and clothing for children in foster care.

These aren’t just items. They’re comfort on hard nights, confidence on difficult days, and a reminder to each child that they are seen and cared for.

Thank you for showing up and making a difference. We couldn’t do this without you.

These items will be donated to Madison County Foster & Adoptive Parent Association to make kits for children coming into the foster care system in Madison County!

UPDATE: Due to scheduling conflicts, we will not have a regular May MCFAPA Meeting.

We'll see you in June for "TBRI: Empowering Principles."
