The Green County Genealogical Society will present- The “History of the DAR” By Kathy Comeau.
The presentation is October 3 at 10 am in the Monroe Public Library community room on the second floor. The program is open to the public.

The presentation is on the history of the Daughters of the American Revolution, including the history of our local Colonel Benjamin Harrison Chapter.
Kathy’s background:
She has been a member of DAR for three years, and the Chapter Regent for one year of a three-year term.
She has lived in the Monroe area since 2007 with her husband. They lived in the UK prior to that.
Kathy has her MA Ed in Educational Management and Leadership. She has worked as a program director for a local non-profit for 14 years before retiring this year.

The GCGS Research Center (located in the lower level of the Monroe Public Library is open to the public for research Tuesdays 10 am-3 pm. Other times available by appointment.
