Starting in October, we will have a new Tuesday evening schedule!

Our Level 1 Classes are moving to Tuesdays! They will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. every Tuesday evening. Then our evening social dance will be held from 7:30-9:30 p.m. The dance will still be 2 hours long, but start 30 minutes later.

If you’re wondering where you can pick up additional lessons to continue your dance journey, please visit our website for additional classes you can take.

Why the switch up? By holding our Level 1 lesson right before our social dance, we are giving the new students an opportunity to stay and practice what they’ve learned. Be sure to introduce yourself to any new dancers that you don’t know, and ask them for a dance!

The Level 1 classes before the dance will be progressive, and new dancers can join in either the first or second weeks of the month. Each series is four weeks long, and on any fifth Tuesday, we'll have an open drop-in lesson for all members for $3.00. Visit our website for additional information and register today!

Day passes:
Friday Pass: $65 for students, $70 for member/sister-club, $80 for non-members
Beginner Pass (Saturday): $55, includes membership and Saturday night dancing
Saturday Pass: $95 for students, $100 for member/sister-club, $110 for non-members

Friday and Saturday evening pricing:
All-levels workshop and social dance: $45 for member/sister-club, $50 for non-member
Social dance only: $30 for member/sister-club, $35 for non-member

Our emcee for Madison’s 30th anniversary workshop is Mike Topel! Mike currently lives in Austin, Texas but was born and raised in Wisconsin. Mike has been a dance coach since 1994 and was the Madison West Coast Swing Club’s instructor for years. Mike will provide you with his charm and charisma during our announcements and battle-for-cheese contest this upcoming weekend.

Hall-of-Fame DJs April Prince and Beth Belamy will be spinning the tunes for you all weekend at Madison’s 30th Anniversary Workshop Weekend!

On Saturday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, they will also lead a training session for DJs. This workshop will be a learning and discussion style session digging into all aspects of DJing from equipment needed to get started, different musical genres common in WCS, and how different it is to DJ for a social dance versus a contest.
