It is also the Mission of MCC to step in and act on behalf of the Community of Madison where certain services or

needs of the community cannot be met by Local Government. This includes working with local districts, applying for grants, and funding with the purpose of maintaining and improving the quality of life in the community of Madison.

Our Story

The mission of Madison Community Committee is to create and maintain a communication link between the unincorporated town of Madison and the County of Yolo, State of California, and any other government agency or private enterprise that has an effect or mutual benefit on the community. It is also the Mission of MCC to step in and act on behalf of the Community of Madison where certain services or needs of the community cannot be met by Local Government. This includes working with local districts, applying for grants, and funding with the purpose of maintaining and improving the quality of life in the community of Madison

Since May 2016 we have maintained a local community food closet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, and are available for emergency also. We are in contract with the Yolo,Food Bank, Eat Well Yolo fresh produce and the Feeding America program. Our goal has been to provide our community access to fresher, healthier foods. We also pick up in season fresh produce from local farmers.

In 2017 MCC partnered with RISE in Esparto to provide a recreation/ pool day 1 day a week for approximately 15-20 local children. We provided lunch for them. In 2018 we expanded to 2 days a week for recreation/ pool 1 day and movies 1 day. We provided lunch and raised money to pay the fees for movies, pool, and bus for all the kids.

We helped get a book borrowing nook installed by the fire department through the Friends of the library.
