Madison Northside Planning Council and FEED Kitchens are saddened by the loss of a Madison giant, Michael Johnson. To add to the stories being shared of his legacy, FEED to Go, the hot meal delivery program we operated throughout the pandemic (600+ meals per day) was started with a visit from Michael 3 days before the shutdown in March 2020. With a promise of support and funding from Michael the program was up and running less than a week later and operated for nearly two years.

Editorial: Johnson, who transformed the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County to a powerhouse for social progress, died unexpectedly Sunday at age 50.

Nice to see Madison Cold Brew Coffee Co growing and finding success! Ali has slowly grown his business here at FEED Kitchens and has prioritized quality over quantity and has earned his space on the shelf.

New equipment for FEED Kitchens! Thanks to a grant from the City of Madison we have been able to secure a few new pieces of equipment. Today our new tilt skillet arrived, replacing the 30-year old workhorse that has been here since we opened in 2013.

No immigrants, no food!

Fully half of the food being produced at FEED Kitchens would not be available to our region if not for immigrant run food businesses. We think that would make Madison a much less interesting place to be.
