Avenue Of Flags Seventy Three flags fly honoring Veterans of Madison, Minnesota. We would love to hear your thoughts regarding our memorial.

This page has been developed to recognize the men and women who served our great country with unwavering commitment, dedication and selfless service from the Madison area. We encourage family, friends, or concerned citizens to share their stories, or pictures, of their veteran who's flag is flying over the memorial. A short bio about your veteran that would include their branch of service, years o

f service, rank achieved, conflicts service and special recognition would be awesome. Please share your photos of the memorial. This site will be used to update our FB friends when the flags will be put up and taken down throughout the year. We will let you know when site maintenance is needed and fund raising activities will take place.

On behalf of the Avenue of Flags we would like to thank VFW Post 1656 for hosting its Gun Bingo! We especially would like to thank everyone who supported the gun raffles throughout the evening!! The money will be used to replaced unserviceable flags.

In recognition of Veteran's Day, we will be raising the flags at the Avenue of Flags Monday, November 10, 2025, starting at 5:00 p.m. Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated!

We'll be taking the flags down Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. (Weather dependent). Again, your assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.

FLAGS OF HONOR. With the Lac qui Parle Fair and September 11th nearing we will be raising the flags on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
