For those who have been wondering a new Publix in the old Kroger location has been confirmed.

Here is the site plan for the old Kroger Shopping Center. The building will be bulldozed in October. The "L" shaped shopping center to the south will be constructed first. Golden China and Papa Johns (along with other tenants) will go in there. Then they will build the Publix. It will go a little farther north to be more behind Sam & Greg's.

All 179 homes in the neighborhood should have received a letter two weeks ago requesting updated contact information be sent to our e-mail address. To date the HOA has only received 73 responses. Please encourage your neighbors to send updated information as we strongly believe that the ability to quickly communicate to the entire neighborhood is important to a safe and engaged community.

A resident's vehicle was stolen out of their driveway last night and driven through the neighbors yard. It is a 1995 Toyota 4Runner Silver 4X4 with a roof rack, winch and large bumper on the front.

Please check your cameras and if you saw anything suspicious please notify the HOA or Madison PD.

1) Hughes Road from Gooch Lane to Eastview Drive

The City of Madison, in coordination with Madison Utilities, would like to inform residents that beginning today, Wednesday, January 18, 2017 crews will be upgrading water and sewer infrastructure along Hughes Road from Gooch Lane to Eastview Drive.

Construction activity along this portion of roadway will be on-going through April of 2017 and will not require the roadway to be closed, but may require intermittent lane closures.

Motorists are urged to drive with extreme caution in this area, paying special attention to road crews, signage and roadway conditions.

2) Coeffer Road (behind the new Kroger)

Coeffer Road off Plaza Drive is now open. This is the new road that runs behind the new Kroger.

3) Water Pressure

A resident noted that their water pressure has been impacted since the opening of the new Kroger. If anyone is experiencing the same issue, please send an email to the BHOA.

Following is the latest Madison road work information.

The City of Madison would like to inform residents that beginning Friday, January 13, 2017, crews will be performing utility construction at the intersection of Hughes Road and Gillespie Road. This work, which will require temporary lane closures, is expected to be complete by Friday, January 20, 2017.

Hughes Road- Pavement/Slope Improvements

The City of Madison would like to inform residents that as of Monday, January 9th, 2017 work along Hughes Road will begin. There will be work done both north and south of the overpass. We expect this work will take approximately ninety days to complete.

We ask that motorists be aware of this road work and proceed with caution.

The City of Madison would like to notify residents that the right lane of the Hughes Road Overpass traveling southbound will be closed to traffic beginning Thursday, November 17, 2016.

The City has been closely monitoring this overpass due to shifting of the earth which has caused cracks in the pavement, creating potentially unsafe conditions. This closure is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of our residents.

The City of Madison would like to inform residents that as of Thursday, October 20, 2016 milling and resurfacing of several City streets will begin. The streets to be improved are Park Meadow Drive, Violet Drive, Buttercup Lane, Andra Street, Skyline Road, Patricia Road, Foy Road, Prairie Court and Prairie Drive. This work will take approximately 4 to 8 weeks to complete.

Palmer Road

The City of Madison would like to inform residents that road construction is currently underway on Palmer Road. Work along this roadway is anticipated to last approximately two (2) weeks and will consist of resurfacing and the installation of gravel shoulders.
