The Towns of Madison and Anson celebrate our communities every year. While it all looks like fun and games, literally, there is a lot of work and planning that goes into making the weekend successful for all parties.

Special thanks to Kim Moody and Maddy Murray in Anson for all their hard work planning and carrying out the events on the west side of the bridge. You both make it look so easy year after year. Nothing but positive feedback. Rock on!!

Thank you to Robin Turek for organizing the crafters and vendors again this year. I know you're exhausted, but you did a fine job!

Thank you to Stacy O'Brien for helping the Madison team coordinate our efforts for the carnival, the signs, postings on Facebook, and of course, the chicken BBQ for Madison Business Alliance.

Very special thanks to Cheyenne Stevens who made sure the parade went off without a hitch, using her amazing organizational skills and "manager-in-training" voice to line up everyone in order. There were no complaints, only compliments.

So many others to thank: Steve Austin for a cooking demonstration on salsa; Jeff Wright and the highway crew for assisting with parade route barricades; Cathy Edgerly for being the 2025 Grand Marshall; the Somerset County Sheriff's Office for leading the parade and loaning us a judge who could also manage traffic control (not to mention Deputy Mike Pike on a bike!); the Madison and Anson Fire Departments and AMS Ambulance Service; all the parade participants; all the wonderful volunteers, especially the students from Madison and/or Carrabec High School earning hours for community service; Sally Dwyer, Shawn Bean and Chief Deputy Mike Mitchell for being parade judges; Blast Party Rentals for the carnival rides; Mark Doty for organizing the boat parade on Laake Wesserunsett; Central Maine Pyrotechnics; Don French for the fishing derby; Bob Hagopian for the 5k; Robert Ward for the golf tournament; {I think my "thank you" time is up...they're playing the music now...} and EVERYONE who played a part in making this year's Madison-Anson Days celebration a great success!
