Mia and Matt are getting married! Thank you to Mia for taking a chance on our 50/50 raffle last night at the Mallards game. Now her upcoming wedding to Matt in October will be that much more glorious- after Mia won $954 in last night’s raffle, the other 50% going to Recovery Foundation. Our $954 will pay for the first month of recovery housing after two people graduate treatment / rehab.

Thank you to the 32 volunteers who showed up on a Tuesday night in June to help us sell 50/50 raffle tickets, and to spread the word about the Recovery Foundation.

Thank you to the local recovery organizations who chose us as the Nonprofit Spotlight organization of the evening and support us to help save lives every single day. Rogers Behavioral Health Safe Communities A Fair Oaks Home Rosecrance and many more.

Some of our friends wanted to attend but couldn’t. One young volunteer walked up to the gates of the park several times but was overpowered with the stress of the crowd. Some didn’t have transportation. Some are too far away. Some are in the depths of their despair. For everyone else who did make it, THANK YOU! Thank you for showing up to fight for the ones not there, for the ones who want a different life but cannot yet get there. I hope at our next event on August 24th, our “WisconsinRecovers.com” golf event, I hope we are blessed with the presence of those who couldn’t attend last night.

THIS is community. THIS is love. THIS is part of the way we heal, this is how we grow, this is how we survive- in the midst of each other. Thank you all. Love you all.
