We got a call from a foster parent who needed help with a new placement -- a child who came to them with nothing but the filthy onesie they were wearing. 😞 Frankly, it was awful, and no child should ever have to endure that.

We're so glad the foster parent reached out for help, because we were able to get that sweet baby everything they needed and deserved. 💜

At the Smith Family Wellness Center, we’re not just helping children heal. We’re helping families heal together.

Through Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), our trained clinicians work with parents and children to strengthen their relationship, improve communication and create healthier ways to interact with each other. Back in 2021, we reached out to Dolly Parton with a simple request: Could she help make Christmas special for a little girl in foster care who loved her?

She didn't just say yes. She sent a whole collection of Dolly goodies for that little girl to unwrap on Christmas morning.

As we remember Dolly and the incredible impact she had on so many people, we wanted to share this Reel again.

Thank you, Dolly, for saying yes when a little girl needed a little Christmas magic. 💜

Tough start to the week. We had THREE requests today for assistance for children coming into care. 😢

As much as we hate hearing that a child has entered foster care, we were more than ready to help. We got them clothing and hygiene items they needed to get settled into their foster homes, along with a few things to keep them occupied and help make a tough transition a little easier.

We hate that these children needed our help today, but we're really glad we were here when they did. 💜
