Dear Supporters of Hands of Hope,
We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication to our mission in the Dominican Republic. Your prayers, financial contributions, and volunteer efforts have been instrumental in promoting health, education, and the love of Christ within the communities we serve. As we reflect on our journey, we are reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
After much prayerful consideration, our board has made the significant decision to suspend operations effective December 31, 2024. This pause will allow us to reorganize, identify the most effective ways to serve the Dominican communities, and establish a more consistent funding model. Consequently, all automatic donations will cease as of January 1, 2025. We understand this news may come as a surprise, but we firmly believe that this period of reflection and restructuring is essential for the sustainability and growth of our mission.
We are committed to keeping you informed throughout this transition and will provide updates as new information becomes available. In this time of uncertainty, we find solace in Isaiah 41:10: "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." We trust in God's guidance and provision as we navigate this new chapter and look forward to continuing our partnership in His service.
