PAMANA welcomes Filipino American History Month with free public activities throughout October. We are proud to be one of the first cultural organizations to hold an exhibit in the newly soft-opened Madison Public Market.

Through photographs and illustrations from Philippine and U.S. archives, visitors walk through the journey of Filipinos in the U.S.—from their arrival on October 18, 1587 (long before the Mayflower Pilgrims), to the contribution of the vibrant Filipino community in Wisconsin.

This free exhibit runs for the entire month of October.

Madison Public Market is open during the following days and hours:
- Wednesday: 5-10 p.m.
- Thursday: 5-10 p.m.
- Friday: 5-10 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
- Sunday: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

The venue is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

What an AMAZING and FUN experience for our Pamana volunteers! 🎉🙌💦☀️
Yesterday, September 13, our volunteers had a blast handing out water, spraying sunscreen, assisting at the bike penalty tent, and cheering LOUD for the incredible Ironman athletes as they transitioned from biking to running! 🚴➡️🏃💪
The energy was contagious! 📣🔥 It was so inspiring to watch these amazing athletes push themselves through such an incredible challenge and keep moving toward the finish line! 🏅👏
A HUGE thank you to our Pamana volunteers for showing up with your BIG smiles, amazing energy, time, and dedication! ❤️ Your support, encouragement, and loud cheers helped make the experience even more special for the athletes!

The final Saturday of our PAMANA Summer Day Camp was August 15. Let’s give ourselves a big round of applause—we made it! What a productive and meaningful summer of learning we shared together.

We sincerely thank everyone who made this summer camp possible.

To our campers, congratulations on completing the PAMANA Summer Day Camp! We are incredibly proud of you. We hope you enjoyed the classes, learned many new things, and will always remember the wonderful experiences you shared with us.

May this summer become a special memory that you will carry with you. Someday, we hope you will proudly say, “Hey, I attended the PAMANA Summer Day Camp, too!” Well done for learning about and embracing your Filipino culture!

To our campers’ parents and guardians, thank you for registering your children and patiently bringing them to camp every Saturday. Your support meant so much to us. We hope to see your children continue participating in PAMANA through our choir, dance group, and other cultural programs.

To our wonderful counselors, thank you for your dedication and for generously sharing your knowledge, talents, and passion for teaching. You are helping our younger generation preserve and carry on our Filipino culture, even while living far from the Philippines. A special shout-out also goes to your husbands for their involvement, patience, and support!

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center for allowing us to use its beautiful space and for partnering with us in our mission to educate and inspire the younger generation. Thank you so much for your support. We hope to work with you again in the future!

Thank you to Las Islas Filipinas LLC for generously providing snacks for our campers and to all the parents who brought food to share. We also thank our volunteers and fellow PAMANA board members for giving their time and assisting us throughout the camp.

Lastly, a huge shout out to United Way, Madison Gas and Electric, Dane Arts, Wisconsin Arts Board, Madison Arts Commission, and Summit Credit Union for your generosity and support.

High five to all of us! Together, we created wonderful memories filled with learning, laughter, friendship, and Filipino pride.
