✨ Aplomb was definitely a member favorite this week!

Our members wasted no time working this week’s word into the meeting—and once it started, aplomb seemed to pop up everywhere. 😂👏 That’s exactly what we love to see: learning a new word and actually putting it into practice.

But using it was only half the fun… who actually pronounced it correctly? 👀😂 Check back to find out which member nailed the pronunciation!

And stay tuned for next week’s Word of the Week to see what our members work into the conversation next.

🌎 We repped our states, countries…and learned a few things along the way! 🎤

This week’s “Rep Your State/Country” meeting gave us a chance to learn more about where our members come from while picking up some fun and interesting facts about different states and countries represented in the room. 🗺️

And, of course, we put our communication skills to work along the way!

🏆 Congratulations to our meeting winners:
🎤 Best Speaker: Pooja
💬 Best Table Topics: Morris
👏 Best Evaluator: Jimmie

Every meeting brings a new theme, new conversations, and another opportunity to grow as a communicator.

Nettlesome was quite the hit at our meeting! 👀🎤

Although nettlesome means causing irritation or annoyance, our members didn’t seem too bothered by it. 😂 In fact, they worked it into the meeting with ease—and quite often!

Building your vocabulary is one more way Toastmasters helps you become a stronger, more intentional communicator.

🎥 Check out a few of our members putting NETTLESOME to work!

And make sure you check back next week for a new Word of the Week and to see who puts it to use! 👀

📚 This week’s vocabulary might be a little… nettlesome. 😉

Our Redstone Toastmasters Word of the Week is NETTLESOME — an adjective meaning causing irritation, vexation, or annoyance.

Here’s an easy way to use it:
💬 “Waiting weeks for test results can be a nettlesome experience.”

Growing your vocabulary isn’t just about learning bigger words—it’s about having more ways to clearly express exactly what you mean. 🎤

Now the real test: Will our members work “nettlesome” into Tuesday’s meeting? 👀

Check back after the meeting to see who uses it!
