“As strangers, we entered the room of the support group,” writes Gloria Vanderbilt in “A Mother’s Story, her moving book about the su***de of her 20 year old son, Carter Cooper. “But later, sitting in a circle, we were not strangers, not even friends. We were a family, one that does not judge, for pain has stripped us bare. Yes, we knew each other well.”

The lifeline of connection assures you that you are not alone and will give you courage and the language to reach out to others for support.

Partners in Grief is planning a spring class to be held at the Grossman Community Center. More details to follow.

Su***de is defined by its isolation and alienation; to know you’re not alone is the first and most important step in the long journey ahead. Carla Fine

Hello.
My name is Mimi Aron and I am a survivor of su***de. I have created this peer support group because I felt there was a need in the Madison area for an organized program for grief support for survivors of su***de.

The peer support 10-week program begins on August 24, 2021 at the Goodman Center.

There is no cost to attend.
Please contact me for more information.
