Who’s excited for the weekend? Good luck to all and stay safe this season!

We’re stocking fields so you can stock the freezer.

We're planning to release around 75,000 pheasants on 80 properties throughout Wisconsin this year. Depending on production levels, pheasants will be released prior to the season and then twice a week for the first few weeks of the season.

Take advantage of these chances and make some memories when pheasant season opens this Saturday, Oct. 14, at 9 a.m.

Remember, hunters aren’t the only folks that use these fields, so be mindful of other outdoor recreators.

Visit our Pheasant Stocking webpage for a full list of stocked properties:

Hi everyone, I wanted to put in a quick plug for the upcoming open houses next week.

The Wisconsin Conservation Congress (WCC) and Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will host an open house in each county the week of April 3 to connect with the public, answer questions about resource management, and discuss local issues of importance. The WCC will also hold elections for two of the five delegate seats in each county.

This is an important opportunity to hear directly from the WCC & DNR about activities happening in our counties.

Here's the schedule: https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/about/wcc/openhouses

Stop by your local meeting if you get the chance.

These programs are intended for novice audiences and are family-friendly. Parents are encouraged to participate with the kids so future outings become a family affair.

We even offer some adult-only events.
