At the Shrine of Our Lady of Champion from today’s field trip. A powerful moment for all of the students to witness, when our two incredible home room teachers kneel before their Mother on the site of the apparition, as Her daughters.

“Gather the children in this wild place, and teach them what they need to know for their salvation.”

At Holy Family Academy, we teach them Her Son.

The students were treated to a talk about the Shrine and the history of Our Lady’s apparition by Fr. Tipps, a wonderful priest who actually grew up in a house on the property. A big thank you to him for taking time out of his day for our students!

Blessed Feast of the Holy Rosary! Holy Family Academy has as its special patroness Our Lady of Champion, the only approved Marian apparition in the United States.
Today we are taking a field trip to the Shrine to celebrate our 5th school year and six years to the day of Holy Family Academy’s founding. Most importantly we give thanks to Our Blessed Mother for Her continued guidance and protection of the school, holding her words to Sister Adele (our mission statement) close: “To gather the children in this wild place and teach them what they need to know for their salvation”.
