I Vote Madison

I Vote Madison A nonprofit civic engagement organization envisioning a Madison shaped by residents. I Vote Madison is a nonpartisan, nonprofit civic engagement organization.

Our mission is to increase civic engagement by providing education to residents and removing barriers to participation at the community level. We believe that every citizen deserves to be heard and that pathways to voter engagement and participation should be free of hurdles. We work to increase citizen awareness of upcoming elections, make voting and election information more accessible through s

treamlining and accessibility, and help citizens understand the voting process. Taking civic action doesn't just happen on election day, so we foster local civic action year-round. Your vote is your voice, but your voice is also your vote when you use it to speak out and engage with city leaders and others in the community. We want to amplify the voices of all Madison residents so they can proudly say, "My City. My Voice. My Vote." We envision a Madison shaped by residents.

Election results from the Madison Municipal Election on Tuesday, August 26:

Mayor: Ranae Bartlett
District 1: Maura Wroblewski (uncontested race)
District 2: David Bier (uncontested race)
District 3: Billie Goodson (uncontested race)
District 4: Michael McKay
District 5: Alice Lessmann (uncontested race)
District 7: Kenneth Jackson

District 6: Runoff election on Tuesday, September 23 between Scott Harbour and Erica White

Voter turnout was 17.76% versus 22% in 2020.

The lower turnout is not surprising, as voter turnout tends to be lower when municipal elections are not in the same year as federal elections. Four races were also uncontested, which may have contributed to the lower turnout.

Thank you to all of the candidates for running and to each voter who cast a ballot.

08/27/2025
