Fall Leaf & Yard Waste Season Begins – The first leaf & yard waste set out dates for some neighborhoods is Sunday, October 4.

Keep Your Brush Separate; Piles of Brush & Yard Waste Mixed Together Will Not Be Picked Up: If you are setting out brush for pickup, do not mix it with your leaves. Brush is sticks, tree branches, and similar stuff you cut from trees & bushes. Yard waste is leaves, weeds, grass clippings and other plant debris you raked or pulled from your lawn or garden. Keep these piles separated.

Just a reminder that while this is an amazing neighborhood, thieves think so as well... Just heard that homes were broken into and cars stolen in the early hours this morning. Just a reminder to lock your homes, your cars and remove anything valuable from them so they are not an enticing target.

New Bike Route for Ironman
On Sunday, Sept 13, the bike portion of IRONMAN Wisconsin will come through Verona. Riders will be in the area from 8 AM through 5:30 PM.

• Watch for travel delays
• Some roads will be closed to vehicle traffic
• Major intersections will be staffed by Verona officers
• Yield to bicycles and share the road
• In some areas, cones will differentiate between vehicle and bike lanes

Be patient or plan an alternate route to avoid the bike course. There will be increased traffic due to race observers and other events. For everyone's safety, avoid using your cell phone while driving in these areas.
