🎉 Friends of UW Health Fiscal Year 2026: A Year of Impact 🎉

As we close another incredible fiscal year, we're celebrating the generosity, dedication, and community spirit of our Friends of UW Health supporters, volunteers, members, sponsors, and attendees.

Together, you helped raise vital funds to support UW Health patients, families, research, and care programs.

Highlights from FY26:

Shenanigans with Friends raised $234,238 for women's cancer research and care at UW Health | Carbone Cancer Center, bringing together 500 guests at Madison Marriott West.

Hearts and Hands welcomed 319 guests to Overture Center and raised $81,115 in support of American Family Children's Hospital.

Derby Party at The Edgewater raised $2,449 for patient assistance programs.
Fall Mum & Spring Flower Basket Sales generated $4,857 to help patients and families in need.

Love Lights raised $20,141 to support patient assistance and other UW Health funds during the holiday season.

Membership remained a vital source of support, with 236 member households contributing $124,684 for patient assistance.

Because of you, patients facing financial hardship received critical assistance, children received compassionate care, and research advancements continued to bring hope to those fighting cancer.

Thank you for making a meaningful difference in the lives of so many. We are grateful for your partnership and look forward to another year of impact together.

Thank you to everyone who purchased flower baskets through the Friends of UW Health Spring Flower Sale! Your support does more than beautify porches and patios — it helps fund patient and family programs at UW Health, including American Family Children’s Hospital.

A very special thank you to our incredible Friends of UW Health Board members who volunteered their time to organize orders and manage pick-ups on both the east and west sides. Your energy, organization and dedication made the day seamless and successful.

🏇 What a Day at the Derby! 🏇
Friends of UW Health was honored to be the official charity of Madison’s 9th Annual Get Down and Derby at The Edgewater. From mint juleps and lawn games to live music and fabulous hats, the day was filled with fun—all for a meaningful cause.

We’re especially grateful to the Friends of UW Health board members who staffed the event and helped raise critical funds to support patient assistance programs at UW Health, benefiting patients and their families when they need it most.

Thank you to The Edgewater, J. Henry & Sons, VO5 Band, The Big Paycheck, and everyone who joined us on the Grand Plaza. Your generosity and community spirit made this celebration one to remember! 💙

🏇🏇Get Down and Derby at The Edgewater 🏇🏇
Join us on the Grand Plaza at The Edgewater for Madison’s 9th Annual Kentucky Derby Party, in partnership with J. Henry & Sons and benefiting Friends of UW Health, supporting patients and their families at UW Health.

Enjoy a Madison Favorite, The Big Payback, then get down with Disco Funk by VO5 Band while playing race day inspired lawn games like ring toss, bags, shuffleboard, horseshoes and more!

Raise your Mint Julep or Kentucky Mule and toast the winner following the race event. Derby attire is not required but certainly encouraged, as we continue the tradition of naming the best-dressed and best-hat at this year’s celebration.

Don’t miss your opportunity to enter our raffle for a chance to win an overnight stay at The Edgewater. All proceeds from games and raffles will benefit Friends of UW Health.
