Happy Saturday!! Last night I had the biggest break down and I just cried my eyes out. This summer has probably been the most stressful summers on the books for me. Losing my dear friend Stephanie and then vetting and finding all her animals the perfect homes, the constant infux of emails from shelters and owners needing to place the animals has weighed so heavy on me. Then I remember everything my therapist Angela has taught me, to take one day at a time and moving forward is still just that,moving. So today we move! Last night my son and husband took down the fence and today with the help of some friends we will be building the new fence for the bigger kids. Thank you so much to all of you,we're so grateful to have so many people that stand behind us even on the bad days. Love to you all ❤️ Michalle&Brian

Labs have been running behind but we did hear from Dr.Ligon today about Toffee. Just to remind everyone we were thinking she had diabetes so we tested her glucose and it was normal so we sent out for lots of labwork and shes within normal limits for everything including her kidney values. Diabetes Insipidus is for sure on the table but there is not a single test to just test for it so now we do more test to connect the dots. Tuesday she will be dropped off first thing so more test can be done and fingers crossed we will have our answers.

Do you ever have one of those days? I swear! My husband and son were going to chop this tree down from the last storm that came thru and we just had a storm come thru and it did some damage the backyard fence is shot. To top it off with a cherry on top we have no power. Brian said the power company is on the way.

This month has already started out fast and furious and sadly the emails haven't stopped coming in asking for help with the seniors. Yesterday we picked up Rocky. Rocky's owner sadly asked for him to euthanized do to chronic ear infections. Going thru his arsenal of meds and vetting paperwork they did absolutely everything for him. They did a biopsy and the diagnosis is Ceruminous Gland Adenoma, which of course I will do a deep dive into everything about this. Rocky is on special food, oral meds, eye drops and ear drops all taken daily. He is a hot mess but he's as sweet as can be and has started to settle in nicely. We will keep you all updated.
