The mission of the Burundi Hope Project is to love God, love people, share the Gospel and bring hope to the people of Burundi. The desire of Burundi Hope is to come alongside all ministry partners and work to help spread the Gospel as well as meet the spiritual, physical, emotional and educational needs of people in Burundi. We have a broad base of ministry partners with a variety of interests who

desire help with the spreading of the Gospel and helping the people in Burundi. We make opportunities available to assist with the Lord’s work in Burundi. Psalm 139:14

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Vision of Burundi Hope

The Burundi Hope Project has been deeply rooted in educational programs since its founding. These educational programs have not been limited to traditional classroom settings. The Lord has challenged the ministry in many ways and has guided it through these challenges. How will we fulfill the mission of the Burundi Hope Project. How will we love God, love people, share the Gospel and bring hope to the people of Burundi? These words were meant to help promote some new programs and projects of Burundi. Education simply means to teach, give information or train. Illuminate means enlighten spiritually or intellectually or supply with a bright light. We can teach them the word of God so they will know the light of Jesus. Giving them access to God’s word through the Bible will “illuminate” their lives the same way a lamp will light up a dark room. Psalm 119:105 tells us clearly that God’s word is a lamp unto our feet. These two words encompass the vison for Burundi Hope in 2018. Equipping the people with information, knowledge and skills applies to their spiritual life as well as their daily life. Through education we can illuminate their spiritual life. As we continue down this ministry path we will be sharing how many of you will be able to help us to “Educate and Illuminate” the people of Burundi.

This is an example of the awesome teamwork at BHP. One of our sewing houses will be accepting deaf interns for the Sewing Program. The new director at Ephphatha is teaching the hearing tailors sign language so communication channels are established. It also brings positive awareness to the local community that those with hearing challenges can be a valued part of the community. Praise God for this provision!

Since arriving much time has been spent on the road going to the schools, churches, sewing centers and shopping in town. We took time for lunch during one o

It's never too early to think about Christmas! A big shout out to those who have been raising support for "Christmas Shoes" in Burundi. It gives us the opportunity to support local businesses by purchasing shoes in Burundi. Thank you to Compass Academy, Fork Union Baptist Church, and Thomas Road Baptist Church AWANA for helping us to give Christmas to the children in Burundi. We will start the purchasing process in September to buy 400 pair of shoes for children at Kanye School for the Blind and Ephphatha Deaf School.
