More Than a Garage: Still Dad
Before the fire, there was Dad.
Lee Jenkins and his daughters, Reagan and Zoey.
A dad. His girls. Ordinary days. Work. Family. Memories. The little things that become a life.
Then a storm-related garage fire in Madison Heights, Michigan changed what came next.
The garage wasn't simply a place where things were stored.
It was part of Lee's work, his girls' lives, and their time together.
Tools collected through years of work.
Bikes.
Toys.
Clothing.
Family keepsakes.
And irreplaceable pieces of life with Dad.
Some of those belongings were temporarily in the garage while carpet was being installed inside the home.
Then the fire happened.
FOX 2 Detroit and CBS News Detroit helped tell people what happened.
But a news story can show the fire.
It can't show everything that came before it.
And it can't tell you who a father is after the cameras leave.
That's where Still Dad begins.
Because Lee is still Dad.
The circumstances changed.
The belongings changed.
The family is rebuilding.
But the relationship between a father and his daughters didn't disappear in the fire.
This is More Than a Garage.
It's a story about fatherhood, loss, memory, dignity, resilience and what it means to rebuild when some things can be replaced — and some things can't.

You don't have to donate to help.
Share their story.
A share can put this family in front of someone who has a resource, a connection, a job lead, tools, practical help — or simply another person who cares.
Because the goal isn't just to show what was lost.
It's to help people see who is still here.
We see you, Dad.
Still Dad.
Nobody rebuilds alone.
