Calling all friendly volunteers! The South Oakland Food Depot is looking for outgoing, giving volunteers to help pack food for our neighbors in need. There are openings for volunteers on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Volunteers are the best! The South Oakland Food Depot is grateful to everyone who participated in the Gleaners/Kroger food drive this past weekend. The final numbers are:

2,429 pounds of food donated (and several bags of paper products, diapers and personal care items) and $499 raised for the Depot!

The SOFD, located at 28720 Stephenson Highway in Madison Heights, MI, distributes grocery store gift cards to our neighbors in need during November and December. Thirty gift cards (Kroger, Meijer or Walmart), $25 each, are needed each week....
