We did a project for a homeowner who is physically unable to work on their home, and financially unable to pay for someone to do the work. Their neighborhood was hinting loudly that they needed to work on their home, so they called us to help. The garage and front door were in dire need of paint, so between the homeowner's sister and us, we scraped, sanded and painted them both. They came out beautiful. Thank you Lisa for your hard work, help and for putting this collage together.

We completed a wheelchair ramp for a local senior this week and it turned out amazing. Our ramp program is a success due to the funding through Agency for Community Transit and the number of volunteers that we have coming out. I would say that wheelchair ramp additions are the number one modification that we make, that have the most impact on homeowners. Thanks to Parth and Gary from Olin/Winchester for helping with this project.

We did a quick project over the weekend, installing railings that had deteriorated so badly, the homeowner removed them as they were becoming a safety hazard. We installed new railings that were safe and sturdy.

This was a huge project that turned out incredible. We got stopped by the rain for 3 days before finally getting it done today. The homeowner is so happy with the end result. Thanks to Chuck and the two Pauls from Olin Winchester...you guys are awesome. Special thanks to the Agency for Community Transit for your continued support for our wheelchair ramp program.

We have been on a building streak for the past couple of weeks, taking advantage of the cooler temperatures of the spring. We finished up another wheelchair ramp today - thanks again Chuck for your amazing help. Thanks also to the Housing Assistance Council for their continued support of our military families.

We managed to get this wheelchair ramp put together and installed in between the raindrops that rolled through the area today. Thanks so much to Chuck for your help building this. And, as always, thanks to the Agency for Community Transit for your continued support in providing safe egress for our neighbors in need.

We were contacted by a local senior who had gotten some bids on getting her steps replaced. Someone was going to charge her $2,000 to replace a few rotten boards. She called us and we were able to get the job done for less than $100 and a couple of hours work. I hate hearing these types of stories where seniors are getting taken advantage of. OK...I'm done ranting. (Sorry for the fuzzy pictures, we need a new phone.)

Hi all, we have a couple of projects coming up that we could use a hand with. No experience necessary. We're going to be building a wheelchair ramp in Pocahontas on May 1st and 2nd. The second project is installing an aluminum wheelchair ramp in Granite City in early-to-mid May. If you're interested in helping with either of these projects, please call/text 618.960.2440. We'll have more projects coming up in mid-to-late May that we'll post about.
