JOB DESCRIPTION: ROUTE/MOBILE SUPERVISOR
The Route/Mobile Supervisor is accountable to the Recycling Manager and the Executive Director/Manager.
The Route/Mobile Supervisor is responsible for carrying out the daily operations of out-of-facility pick-ups of recycled materials. He/she will verify each certified employee is working on his/her assigned duties on the route and is outfitted with the appropriate safety equipment. The Route/Mobile Supervisor may be expected to function in the shop area after the completion of the route.
The Route/Mobile Supervisor's duties include but are not limited to.
• Operate a forklift both inside and outside for the needs of the facility, if trained to do so.
• Assist the Shop Supervisor in assurance of the safety and productivity of the certified employees.
• Responsible for regular safety equipment checks on trucks and trailers with documentation.
• Responsible for fueling of company vehicles on a as needed basis.
• Maintain close supervision of each certified employee on the route.
• Responsible for making sure that the recycling material is appropriately stacked in the truck to ensure completion of the daily route in a timely manner.
• Assist in the transportation of certified employees to and from the workplace, as needed.
• Assist with other duties as needed; replace any staff member you are qualified to in cases of absenteeism.
As a staff member, you are required, before you begin your employment, to read this Policy and Procedure Handbook and utilize the Staff Safety Training Workbook and Safety Training Packet given to you by the Executive Director. You are also required to review the Employee Handbook. Once all mandatory forms are filled out, signed and properly addressed, you will begin employment and be assigned duties and charged employees.
This is a part-time position with the expected work hours for this position are between 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. This staff position receives paid breaks. This is a non-exempt hourly position and is eligible for overtime with the approval of the Executive Director/Manager. This position is eligible for continuing education programs including CPR, First Aid, and Regional Center training.

Your employment requires the driving of company vehicles, and this may include the forklift, your Missouri State Driver's record will be investigated yearly at the time of your evaluation. Failure to report ANY vehicle accidents or traffic violations given to you will subject you to immediate termination. You are expected to follow and uphold all state and federal laws while on duty.
QUALIFICATIONS: The Route/Mobile Supervisor should possess at least a Class E driver's license and a clean driving record. He/she must also be forklift trained and familiar with basic safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or others in need of support/assistance is preferred.
