1/3 of the children in foster care live in 3 or more homes per year.

That means a new family, neighborhood, and often a new school. They lose relationships with friends and mentors over and over. Each move compounds upon previous trauma, making it difficult to feel stable, wanted, or connected.

That is why at HOPE, we work hard to ensure that we match foster children to the right family, the first time. This helps reduce additional trauma on kids and allow them to begin to heal.
