Yesterday, we celebrated a special ribbon cutting in Downtown Macon for Gilmer Warehouse & Logistics and their new international headquarters on Third Street.

If you’ve driven by the corner of Third and Plum lately, you’ve probably noticed the building. Gilmer has done a beautiful job bringing it back to life and turning it into a space that feels fresh, open, and very much connected to downtown.

The new headquarters includes office space for employees, co-working space for business partners, and some pretty incredible views of the city.

It was a proud day for a company that has been part of Georgia’s business community for generations.

Gilmer Warehouse & Logistics started in 1986 with Tom Gilmer and one warehouse. Since then, the family-run business has continued to grow, expanding its work in warehousing, logistics, transportation, and distribution while still holding onto the values that helped build it in the first place.

We are proud to celebrate this milestone with the Gilmer team and grateful for their continued investment in our community. Congratulations on the opening of your new international headquarters. We are excited to see this next chapter unfold right here in downtown Macon!
