To honor Otis' dream, The Otis Redding Foundation provides opportunities for youth to improve their academic performances by helping them make choices in life that enrich rather than endanger. By providing programs that ignite dreams in our future generation of leaders, we remain dedicated to connecting the universal relevance of music to serve as a catalyst for education, health, fitness, and other youth oriented initiatives.

What an incredible birthday treat for one of our campers, DoSharian Bowen, to receive this message from THE Teddy Swims in response to his fantastic cover of “The Door” during our One-Year Anniversary Celebration.

Moments like these remind us why we do this work. We are proud to connect young artists with the musicians who inspire them and grateful for artists like Teddy Swims who take the time to encourage the next generation, just as Otis Redding believed in lifting others up.
