We had so much fun last Friday with Milly Pickleball for a night of Pickling for a Purpose! We were able to raise funds for our mission while playing a few rounds of Pickleball along with some Poker!

THe ReStore Will close at noon today to customers due to staffing shortages. We are still accepting donations till 4 PM today. Help us avoid theses staffing shortages in the future and apply to work at the Macon Area ReStore. We are hiring a Full-time ReStore Manager and a Part-time Floater. Today we have the honor of congratulating Sheree Edward’s in becoming the Macon Area Habitats newest homeowner! After all of her hard work and dedication Sheree closed on the house this morning starting a new chapter of her life. We are so happy for the Edward’s family as they move into their new home.

Due to staffing shortages the ReStore will be closing at noon to customers on Tuesday June 16th. We will still be accepting donations until 4PM that day. With that being said we are hiring for a Full-time ReStore Manager and Part-time Floater position to help mitigate this problem in the future. Yesterday we had the pleasure of having some of the Mercer Football Players out to the job site! They worked fast to clean a large overgrown lot in preparation for our home dedications in two weeks. It was great to work with you fantastic young men and we can’t wait to have them back soon!

We have been hard at work finishing up 5 houses for our new home owners and now it is time to save the date for our next Home Dedication! Please join us Thursday, June 25th at 10:00 AM at 1271 Holt Ave as we celebrate the Freeman, Edwards, Tukes, Holt, and Hearvy families start the next chapter of their lives. None of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of all of our volunteers, donors, and homeowners. It will be a fantastic day celebrating 5 amazing homeowners so don't miss out!

It's a new month so it's time for another construction update from the Macon Area Habitat! Our Holt, Huguenin, Irving, and Worsham house are getting close to having four new Habitat families move in. Keep an eye out for our home dedication and closing announcements as they are coming soon. We hope to see you all there to celebrate the hard working families on their achievement!
