TROOP 170 STRONG!
Our Scouts are now handling the hay bales for the Magnolia Street Soap Box Derby. The weather is perfect and the Scouts are having a blast!

Congratulations, Troop 170 Eagle Scout Jacob Burnsed who was honored at the Central Georgia Council banquet last night with the Whitney M Young Jr youth service award. Thank you to Crew 170 member Sabrina Jones for getting some pictures!

Philmont 2027! We are gathering two crews. One for a backpacking trek and one for a cavalcade (horseback) trek. Come lead the adventure!

WOW!!!! Troop 170 would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to not one, but TWO members of the Raptor Patrol who are not only Eagle Scouts, but have been named as National Merit Scholar semifinalists!

It was a full house Monday night with 21 Scouts on hand to conduct elections. Congratulations to Senior Patrol Leader Finley and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader Micah! We also elected Brooks and Henry into the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s honor society.

We also held a Court of Honor where we recognized
~ four Scouts who have earned their next rank
~ Scouts who earned a total of 77 merit badges since the last Court of Honor
~ 15 Scouts who attended summer camp
~ six who completed the new camper program at summer camp
~ two who earned the StandUp Paddleboarding Award
~ two who finished the camping segment of the Outdoor Activity Award
~ two who earned another gold device for adding 25 more camping nights
AND
~ one of our Scouts was recognized for hitting 150 camping nights!
170 STRONG!!
