❤️👟 Another Meaningful Delivery This Week! 👟❤️

This past week, Shoes From the Heart partnered with Home State Health to deliver shoes to the Springfield Salvation Army.

We’re incredibly grateful for opportunities like this because every delivery means more people will have access to something so basic, yet so important—a good pair of shoes.

A huge thank you to Home State Health for continuing to support this mission and help us reach more communities across Missouri. Partnerships like this allow us to do more, go farther, and help more people when the need arises. 🙏

❤️👟 Two Stops. Two Needs. One Community Coming Together. 👟❤️

This week, we had the opportunity to make an impact in two different ways.

First, we restocked the Shoe Closet at Higbee School, thanks to the generous support of HIG Realty / Huffman Insurance Group. We’re especially grateful to Bobby Huffman for attending the delivery and helping us continue making sure local students have access to new shoes when they need them most. 🎒👟

We also had the privilege of helping a veteran returning to work with a new pair of work boots. Gina was able to make the delivery after connecting through the Shower Ministry at Trinity United Methodist Church in Moberly. 🇺🇸🥾

These are two very different situations, but both show what can happen when schools, businesses, churches, volunteers, and community partners work together.

🏈🍂 FALL = FOOTBALL… AND PASS FOR CASH IS BACK! 🍂🏈

We’re kicking off another season of Pass for Cash, and the first stop is set!

📍 September 11 — Harrisburg Bulldogs at Westran Hornets

One lucky person will get the chance to step up and make 4 throws for CASH — with $50 on the line for each throw and up to $200 total waiting to be won! 💵🔥

🎟️ Tickets:
$5 each or 5 for $20

🏈 How it works:
Throw 4 footballs at the target net in the end zone.

📏 Yard lines:
• Ages 15+ throw from the 15-yard line
• Ages 14 and under throw from their age yard line

🎓 Westran R-1 Seniors — this part is for YOU!
We’ll also draw the names of 3 lucky seniors who will compete for a $500 scholarship on September 12 at Moberly Motor Company!

👟❤️ Got Shoes Sitting in the Closet? Make Them Count.

Most of us have a few pairs tucked away that we already know we’re never going to wear again.

Maybe they don’t fit. Maybe they’re not your style anymore. Maybe the kids outgrew them faster than expected.

Before those shoes end up in the trash—or eventually in a landfill—consider giving them another purpose.

When disaster strikes, the need for shoes doesn’t stop with adults. Children need shoes too, and that means we need a wide range of sizes ready to go when families are suddenly displaced or left without the basics.

Those unwanted shoes sitting in your closet could become exactly what someone else needs on one of the hardest days of their life.

You were already planning to get rid of them.

🙏👟 Will You Be Ready When You Hear the Call?

Sometimes the opportunity to help doesn’t come with a lot of warning.

A child needs shoes. A family hits a hard season. A veteran needs a little support. A community is recovering from disaster.

And in those moments, someone has to be ready to say, “We can help.”

At Shoes From the Heart, we believe service often starts with simply being willing. Willing to give. Willing to volunteer. Willing to share a need. Willing to step in when God places an opportunity in front of you. ❤️

📖 “Here am I. Send me!” — Isaiah 6:8

That verse is a powerful reminder that sometimes the first step is just being ready.

You can help us be ready too—by donating shoes, volunteering, sharing our mission, partnering with us, or becoming a Sole Supporter and providing steady monthly support that helps us respond when needs arise.

You never know when the next call will come.

Today, we’re simply thankful.

We’ve been blessed with so many opportunities to serve lately, and we never want to take that for granted.

🏛️👟 Taking the Mission to Jefferson City! 👟🏛️

This past week, Gina Fowler had the opportunity to represent Shoes From the Heart at the Missouri State Employee Charitable Campaign Kick-Off in Jefferson City.

We had a booth at the event and were able to visit with state employees from across Missouri, share information about our mission, and explain how their support can help provide new shoes to children, families, veterans, and others in need. ❤️

The State Employee Charitable Campaign gives employees the opportunity to learn about participating charities and support the causes that matter to them through payroll deduction. Having the chance to introduce Shoes From the Heart to so many people in one place was a tremendous blessing.

Every new person who learns about the mission has the potential to become a donor, volunteer, supporter, or simply someone who helps spread the word—and that impact can travel much farther than we ever realize.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and took the time to learn more about what we do. 🙏
