Exciting staff news!

We are proud to welcome Jerea Harris as the new Director of One Safe Place Macon, an initiative of Crisis Line & Safe House of Central Georgia, Inc.

A Macon native and graduate of Valdosta State University with a degree in Psychology, Jerea has dedicated her career to serving others through leadership, collaboration, and meaningful community impact.

In her previous role as Program and Implementation Manager at One Safe Place Macon, Jerea led Camp HOPE America- Central Georgia, where she poured into the lives of children impacted by trauma through year-round mentoring and camp experience.

As One Safe Place Macon enters this exciting new chapter, Jerea is eager to help bring the vision to life.

Happy Father’s Day to the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, mentors, and father figures in our community.

Today, we celebrate the men who show up every day with love, strength, patience, and support for the children and families around them.

Whether it’s cheering from the sidelines, offering guidance during difficult moments, or simply being a steady presence, your impact matters more than words can say.

At Crisis Line & Safe House of Central Georgia, we know strong communities are built by people who care deeply for one another and fathers play an important role in that foundation.

A huge thank you to MVP: Macon Violence Prevention for awarding a grant that helped make Camp HOPE America- Central Georgia possible this year!

Because of their support, 68 children spent an unforgettable week at Camp Twin Lakes. Camp HOPE was filled with moments that will last far beyond this week for kids and teens who have been impacted by trauma.

Get ready for an evening of friendly competition, laughter, and a few words you definitely haven't used since middle school. Join us for our Adult Spelling Bee, where familiar faces from around Central Georgia will take the stage to put their spelling skills to the test in support of a great cause.

Enjoy delicious food, a cash bar, and plenty of entertainment as contestants buzz their way through challenging words and unexpected surprises. Whether you're cheering on your favorite speller or simply coming for a fun night out, this is an event you won't want to miss.

From art projects to visits from our beloved Snack Queen, Camp HOPE has filled this week with color, laughter, creativity, and joy for children from across Central Georgia.

Each moment at camp is a reminder that healing can look like silly conversations, paint-covered hands, rock wall climbing adventures, discovering little critters, and kids simply getting the chance to be kids.

Join us in wishing our Executive Director, Jamie Bormann, a very Happy Birthday! 🎉

Jamie spent part of her day helping prepare for Camp HOPE alongside the incredible staff and volunteers who work each year to make this week so special for local children.

Camp HOPE is a 5-night camp for children and teens impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence, and child abuse.

The camp gives them a chance to heal, connect, and simply be kids in a safe and supportive environment.

We’re grateful for everyone helping create hope and healing in our community. 💜
