Major Taylor KIDZ Selected as 2026 SRAM Community Partner
National Youth Cycling Organization Joins Global Movement Expanding Access, Equity, and Opportunity Through Bicycling
GEORGIA — March 2026 — Major Taylor KIDZ proudly announces its selection as a 2026 SRAM Community Partner, joining 41 organizations from around the world committed to strengthening communities and expanding access to cycling.
The SRAM Community Partner Program supports mission-driven organizations that are making cycling more accessible, inclusive, and transformative for riders of all ages. Major Taylor KIDZ was selected for its growing national impact in youth cycling education, leadership development, and community engagement.
“This partnership represents more than sponsorship,” said Charise Stephens-Merriweather, Founder and Executive Director of Major Taylor KIDZ. “It reflects shared values and a shared vision — that bicycles can change lives. Through this collaboration, we are expanding opportunities for young people to experience confidence, leadership, safety education, and workforce pathways through cycling.”
Named in honor of Marshall “Major” Taylor — the world champion cyclist who broke barriers in the early 1900s — Major Taylor KIDZ centers its work on inspiring, empowering, and engaging children through the world of bicycling the Major Taylor Way.
With support through the 2026 SRAM Community Partner initiative, Major Taylor KIDZ plans to:
Expand youth cycling access nationally
Increase safety education and structured leadership programming
Provide equipment and mentorship in underserved communities
Develop future cycling leaders and workforce pathways
Strengthen inclusive cycling ecosystems across Georgia and beyond
SRAM Community Partners represent a global movement united by a belief in the power of bicycles to transform lives, improve health outcomes, and build stronger communities.
Major Taylor KIDZ continues to grow its footprint through youth rides, safety training, national conference participation, mentorship programming, and community partnerships that prioritize equity and opportunity.
“Progress moves faster when we ride together,” Stephens-Merriweather added. “The road ahead has never looked brighter.”
