Would you like to see three Bibb County School District Seniors compete for $30,000 in scholarships to go to their choice of post-secondary education? Help us pack the Grand Opera House tomorrow night for the Griffith Foundation Poetry Slam. This free event starts at 6:30 pm and will feature 14 Senior and Underclassmen sharing their voices on the theme, "Social Justice: We Will Be Silent No More". It will be an enlightening evening!

Just 5 nights away! You don't want to miss the Griffith Foundation's Poetry Slam on Friday, April 26th at 6:30 pm at the Grand Opera House. Watch as Seniors and Underclassmen for all seven Bibb County School District high schools share their thoughts and dreams on the stage. Senior winners will go home with a total of $30K in scholarships. It's a free event that can be enjoyed and celebrated by all! Let's "Pack the Grand", and show up for our students!

A festive time was had by all as the Griffith Foundation celebrated the season with a wonderful group of friends and grant recipients. It was phenomenal to get together a whole room full of people that are making a difference in our community with their dedicated service and passion for doing what is right! The Griffith Family Foundation (“GFF”) is a charitable fund with more than 30 years of philanthropic support to the Middle Georgia community. Our mission is to inspire, encourage, and empower the citizens of Central Georgia by cultivating education and the arts, creating economic opportunity, and developing compassionate leaders. GFF is committed to supporting efficient 501(c)(3) organizations that enhance the quality of life for the citizens in the Central Georgia community. We envision a vibrant community, one that is poised for growth and offers cultural, educational, and economic opportunities to all its citizens.

To apply for funding, please complete the attached application form. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Submissions are accepted January 15, 2024, through March 1, 2024 for the 2024 Grant Cycle and decisions will be made by April 15, 2024.

This will be our sole grant cycle for the calendar year 2024.

The Griffith Foundation is pleased to announce the upcoming Stage Reading of "Breathing Under Dirt" at the Douglass Theatre for three showings on September 26-28th. The play is set in Macon, Georgia in the 1950s and deals with the issues of civil rights, addiction and recovery. Playwright, Michael O'Leary, who played Dr. Rick Bauer on "The Guiding Light", and his former castmate, Grant Alexander, who played Phillip Spaulding will be in Macon next week for this production.

Macon's own Charles Davis and Kelley Dixon will be in the lead roles. Please make sure to get your tickets today.

Our mission is to inspire, encourage, and empower the citizens of Central Georgia by cultivating education and the arts, creating economic opportunity and developing compassionate leaders. We are committed to supporting efficient 501 (c)(3) organizations that enhance the quality of life for the citizens in the Central Georgia community.
Submissions will be accepted July 15, 2023, through September1, 2023 for the Fall Grant Cycle and decisions will be made by October 15, 2023.
