This year, we're kicking things off at our brand-new Halloween Headquarters in Rosa Parks Square.

Here's your game plan:

Halloween isn't only for the kids! Our October blog has all the details on spooky fun for grown-ups across downtown.

🏗️ Applications for the 2027 Developer's Academy are now open!

Every class brings together people at different stages, from neighbors who just bought their first building to seasoned developers planning their next move. Wherever you're starting from, there's a seat for you at the table.

Over six classes, you'll learn how to guide a project from start to finish, with topics like purchase agreements, five-year operating pro formas, and historic tax credits.

📅 Classes meet every other Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, starting January 12, 2027.
⏰ The deadline to apply is November 8 at midnight.
💻 All applicants must attend one interest session to be considered. More details in the link.

We can't wait to meet downtown Macon's next class of developers! 🙌

Our favorite part of Tour of Progress is walking downtown together, side by side with the people who care about it as much as we do. 💛

That's you, the partners who helped make these projects possible. And it's you, scrolling right now, who follows along because you want downtown Macon to be a great place to live, work, and spend a night out.

On Friday, October 16, from 5-8 PM, let's walk it together. Ask us anything, meet our team, and see what's coming next. Then stay and celebrate 30 years of NewTown Macon with food, drinks, and music at Neel's Lofts.

It's free, everyone is welcome and we'd love to see you there! Grab your spot at the link in the comments. 🚶‍♀️

Client Spotlight: Petals Flowers & Market ✨ 💐

Lynn Stevens moved Petals downtown in 2023 to run her dream gift shop. After some costly financing early on, a NewTown Macon loan helped her get on solid ground and expand!

Today you'll find floral arrangements, signature candles, local baked goods, and vendor booths upstairs. Stop by for their fall decor now and holiday decor soon!

"It's not like going to a bank and getting a loan. They're invested in you," Stevens said.

Do you remember the petit fours at Grant's Pastry Shop? 👀

Today, the same corner is home to Oliver's Corner Bistro and its brand-new upstairs space, The Perch. As we celebrate 30 years, we're looking back at the buildings that show what steady investment in downtown can do.

Swipe through to see how 496 Second Street got from horses and wagons to rooftop dinners.

Our Tour of Progress on Friday, October 16 will take you past corners like this one and share what's coming next. Spots are limited, so RSVP at the link in our comments!
