We know the holidays can be difficult. We would like to welcome the community to our annual free Holiday Hope to help those who are grieving through the upcoming Holiday seasons. We will offer special programs for kids (5 and up), teenagers, and adults. The focus is for families and individuals who have lost loved ones. Our licensed clinicians will provide insight into how to cope with the Holiday season as you process your grief. Come and join us in our 90 minute session in the gym at Vinville Baptist Church!

Crossroads Christian Counseling Center and Vineville Baptist Church are offering a seminar to help people face the holidays after the loss a loved one through death or divorce. It will be held at Vineville Baptist Church (corner of Pierce Ave. & Vineville Ave.) this Thursday night from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

Special sessions will be held for children ages 5 and up and teenagers in the education building and the adults will meet in the gymnasium. See the attachment for more details.

It's that time of year again! Our Annual Golf Tournament is right around the corner on October 23. With the Holidays approaching we understand that for many it can be a difficult time, especially with the loss of a loved on. The event will be from 6:30pm-8pm at Vineville Baptist Church and this is free to the community. We will have clinicians available to provide much information about self-care and ways that will help during the Holidays. The adults will meet in the gym with many Crossroad therapists and the children will be in the Children’s department with our 2 Play Therapists, Jaqui Willson, LPC and Charlotte Stewart, LPC. The children will be making a memory book so they will need to bring pictures with them to include in their book! For us to get a good estimate on how many people will be there, please RSVP!

Dr. Sarah Gilmore provides medication management for clients struggling with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, as well as substance abuse, trauma, sleep troubles, and symptoms related to personality disorders.Dr. Gilmore is a 3rd year psychiatry resident physician at Piedmont Macon Medical Center. She feels as though she has been called to best serve the Lord through a career in psychiatry and loves every minute of it! Dr. Gilmore believes that medication and therapy together are important components in obtaining excellent mental wellness. She prioritizes taking an open, judgement-free approach, being careful to respect the attitudes, beliefs, and value systems of each patient. She welcomes people of all faiths, cultures, and walks of life and focuses on helping individuals realize their full potential.

Dr. Boatwright is a 3rd year psychiatry resident at Piedmont Macon. She is passionate about expanding access to quality mental healthcare to communities in need. Her future plan is to pursue a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in order to treat entire families. Dr. Boatwright’s relationship with God has guided her practice as she believes that spirituality can significantly aid in the process of healing from life trauma and stress. She uses a combination of psychotherapy and medication management to treat a wide range of mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, sleep disorders, schizophrenia, and psychotic disorders.
