PAWSitive Beginnings located in Macomb, IL is a small foster based, no kill rescue organization for dogs and cats. We network with other rescues all across the country to help place homeless and unwanted dogs and cats into loving forever homes. Gillian and Jerri met while volunteering for another rescue and had the same passion for saving animals. They wanted to be able help a lot more animals and
decided they would start their own rescue. Along the way they met some other great people with the same passion and so PAWSitive Beginnings was started. We have registered our business with McDonough County and we are currently in the process of getting our 501(c)3 status and being approved by the State of Illinois. Our organization is run entirely by volunteers. Once dogs and cats are accepted into our rescue they will be checked by the vet and given any necessary vaccinations and medical attention. They are scheduled to be spayed or neutered if necessary and then they are welcomed into their new foster home. We along with our fosters get to know the dogs and cats and their personalities and work on socializing them, house breaking (if necessary) and basic behavior. This allows us to adopt them out to the PAWSitively perfect family and forever home!!! OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
