The 4th Annual Black Student Summit Black Student Summit The purpose of this summit is to restore the confidence, self-efficacy, and self-image within the African American community.

The Black Student Summit is geared towards addressing the issues, needs, and concerns that have negatively affected the African American community. In recent years colleges and universities across the nation, including Western Illinois University, are experiencing a unique challenge regarding the recruitment and retention of underrepresented minorities. The Black Student Summit includes a host of motivational speakers, empowering and insightful workshops, and innovative group activities.
