the Kiwanis Club of Lapeer, Michigan, U.S.! 🎉

The club has won US$25,000 in playground equipment from Kiwanis partner Landscape Structures Inc., which will help make their nature-inspired, inclusive playground at Rowden Park a reality.

Exciting news, Lapeer! 🎉

The Kiwanis Club of Lapeer is officially entered into the 2026 Kiwanis Legacy of Play Contest, a national competition awarding $25,000 in playground equipment for community play spaces.

Our project: a nature‑based, inclusive playground at Rowden Park, designed specifically to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities and to create a welcoming destination for families across Lapeer County and beyond.

But we can’t win without YOU.

This year we are thankful for local businesses who helped us to collect food. We owe a huge thank you to Spotlight Dance Works, , and Sherwood Brewing Company this holiday season. They were so kind to enlist customers, employees, families and friends and help collect a whopping
914 lbs of food for the Community Food Bank of Macomb County. This is amazing! We are so grateful for you.

It's FOOD DRIVE time! The Kiwanis Club of Macomb is excited to announce a community food drive. We have teamed up with some amazing local businesses to collect food for the Community Food Bank of Macomb County.

The public drop off spot will be Sherwood Brewery, and then we invite families that attend either Spotlight Dance Works or Underground Dance Company to donate through the dance studios.

We will also do porch picks ups if you are local just text or call on of the numbers on the bottom of the flyer for Rebecca Wilson or Mary Clizer and we will schedule a pick up.

If your business would like to participate as well please let us know and we will drop off a box and some flyers!

Our annual Candy 4 Kids drive is just around the corner!🍫🍬

Got extra Halloween candy? We'll take it! MTPR will be collecting leftover candy. Your donations will help make Christmas special for kids in need through the Macomb Charitable foundation.

Donations can be dropped off at the Macomb Township Recreation Center beginning Saturday, November 1 through Sunday, November 16.
