"The next great thing" that I've dreamed of since retiring was to host an animal rescue/therapy farm. Sadly, I've chosen not to pursue this dream any longer. Thank you, everyone, for all of the kind words and support! I'm not giving up in finding "my purpose", I'm simply changing my direction! Hugs!

Introducing our furry friend, Penny! Penny is a 3-year-old pot belly pig. Although not considered a true rescue, her owners wanted her to go to a loving home, where she would receive the attention she deserves.

I retired in 2018, after 29 years of service at Winterset Community Schools. My first year of retirement was wonderful, I felt like I was on an extended vacation! However, 2020 has been rough, to say the least. My quest to “find my purpose” hit with such force that my grief and yearning to “make a difference” became overwhelming. I miss my colleagues, I miss my 7th & 8th graders, I miss, I miss, I miss.

I live on a farm in Madison County with husband Matt! We have six adult kids, eight grands, 4 horses, 3 dog kids, 8 kitty-cats, 2 goat kids and a pot belly pig!

Hey, everyone! In my efforts to reuse, recycle and reduce, I'm searching for farm rubbage! Do you have a pile I can search thru for supplies and materials that I can use to make a small chicken coop? Old cabinets? A dog house that isn't wanted or needed? Rabbit Hutch? Square posts lying in the weeds? Please let me know! TIA! Hugs!

We’re hosting our first fundraiser thanks to daughter, Kelli!

Kelli is also an Independent Scentsy Consultant! I couldn’t ask for a better person to help kick off this amazing new adventure!

A lot needs to happen to achieve the end purpose of helping kids and serving our community!

I struggle with simply asking for donations without personally earning it! We’ll strive to work hard in earning support from all of you, our family and friends!

Our most urgent needs at this time are for warm & safe shelter. This is a must before we can rescue too many furry friends! Good food and plenty of clean water will also be an ongoing top priority!

My goal for this campaign is to “earn” enough to cover the cost of building a new paddock and purchasing one small building!

I promise transparency in all I do for the GRRF!
