Mackinaw Rendezvous and Trade Fair The Mackinaw Rendezvous and Trade Fair covers the years 1700 through 1840. Each Day

Join us the first full (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) weekend in August at Conkling Heritage Park and Mackinaw Crossings for the Rendezvous in Mackinaw and 18th Century Market Fair! Separate historic camps will be set up to cover the French and the Indian War through The War of 1812. Native American, French, English and American Military, Militia, Fur Trade and Civilian life as it would have existed in the Mackinac region will be represented. Stop in, and step back into history!

The final day of camp!
The camp was bustling with activity until 3 o’clock, when the reenactors packed up and headed back to their everyday lives.

Once a year, this dedicated group comes together to share a small but important piece of Michigan history with our children and the next generation—a time when Native peoples, British, French, and Colonial Americans came together to trade and interact.

Through education and living history, they work to bring the past to life and help others better understand and appreciate the history around us.

Day 4 brought the most active day at camp. The cannon and musket demonstration was at 10:00 to make sure everyone was awake. The Saginaw Voyagers landed again in their 16 person canoe.

The Tittabawassee Valley Fife and Drum Corps played around camp to entertain prior to the battle on main street.

Day 3…. Awesome day today looting the town and enjoying the creativity of our members. This group loves helping the attendees learn about Michigan history during the fur trading period. Thanks to all the visitors that asked questions to keep the campers on their toes. Also thanks to the wonderful merchants of mackinaw city and Mackinaw Area Visitors Bureau for their love and support.
