Before Straits Pride, there was Pride Crawl.

Now in its ninth year, our longest running LGBTQ+ tradition on Mackinac Island is back! What started as a simple night of community and celebration has grown into an annual event that helped lay the foundation for Straits Pride.

Party with us Monday, August 3, as we make our way through downtown Mackinac Island, visiting our favorite local businesses along the way. Whether you've been with us since the beginning or this is your very first Pride Crawl, we'd love to celebrate with you ✨

We’ve made some exciting changes to the Straits Pride Scholarship!

Instead of a single application window, applications are now open year-round. If you meet the qualifications, your application will be considered, no matter when you apply!

Whether you’re heading to college, trade school, or continuing your education, we encourage LGBTQ+ students and allies in the Straits area to apply.

Join Straits Pride for Drag Queen Bingo on Friday, July 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mackinac Island Community Hall. This event features entertainment and bingo games with Deija Vaton ✨

Come celebrate community, enjoy an unforgettable performance, and see why Drag Queen Bingo has become one of the highlights of summer on Mackinac!

Pride Month may be over, but we’re not done celebrating!

Saturday, July 4, walk with us in the St. Ignace Independence Day Parade. Meet us around 3:30 p.m. in the parade lineup behind True Value Hardware. We’ll have pride flags ready to carry, and everyone is invited to walk with us.

Wednesday, July 8, join us for our annual Mackinac Island Family Picnic at Great Turtle Park from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Enjoy free hot dogs, hamburgers (including vegan options), snacks, drinks, and games!

Pride doesn’t end when June does. Come celebrate community, friendship, and belonging with us this July. All are welcome!
