The students’ artwork and thank-you message were outstanding and genuinely captured the spirit of community support.

A huge THANK YOU to Mackay’s First Grade students and Mrs. Simmons and others who assisted for the wonderful card and thoughtful messages the American Legion received following your recent field trip. The artwork and kind words truly meant a lot to our members.

We were honored to provide a warm place for the students to eat lunch on a cold, blustery day. Supporting our community - especially our children, schools, families, and local organizations - is exactly what the American Legion Hall is here for.

This building belongs to the community, and we are always proud to see it being used to bring people together, support local events, and create positive experiences for the next generation.

Thank you again for the beautiful card and for reminding us what small-town community spirit is all about.

Congratulations to Josiah Cecil for winning the local, area and state oratorical competition for the American Legion. He competed in Meridian February 21 and beat the other 4 area winners. He will represent Idaho in the national competition in May.
